Sofia Calcena

Clinical psychologist

She is a clinical psychologist from the Universidad Católica "Nuestra Señora de la Asunción" , Paraguay and master in Collaborative and Dialogical Practice from the Universidad Comunera de Asunción (UCOM), Paraguay. Sofia is a trainer in Family and Couples Therapy in Open Dialogue, Finland.



She holds an international certificate in Collaborative and Dialogical Practice (TAOS, USA) and she is an individual, couples and family therapist in private practice since 1996.


She is a trainer in Open Dialogue in Rio de la Plata (Argentina and Uruguay), NOOS Institute (Brazil) and University of Almería (Spain).

She is a consultant in social projects related to children and families and was the coordinator in Paraguay in the project Triángulo Austral, coordinated by Tom Andersen (2005-2006).

She also coordinated the Family Therapy Program - TeSis Institute (2005-20012), in Paraguay.
